Miss Haberdash sends a postcard....

If you like textiles Fez is a challenge, on all sides you're surrounded. Berber rugs woven from camel wool, delicate cross stitch embroidery on white linen tablecloths and hole in the wall shops selling brocade, tassels, buttons and more. But, show interest at your peril, the shopkeeper can spot your weakness and will pounce. It's a game of cat and mouse.

Today we visited the famous leather tanneries, you've probably seen these images before but nothing prepares you for the smell, pigeon poo and cow urine are key ingredients in techniques unchanged since medieval times.
