Miss Haberdash the art of embroidery ....

I'm a big fan of Woman's Hour on BBC Radio 4. Dedicated to celebrating, informing and entertaining women. In the UK this show is an institution, Jenni Murray presides and covers the issues of the day.
In July, artists Sarah Greaves and Penny Anderson were guests, talking about the art of embroidery as graffiti (click on the link to hear the interview, scroll to 34 mins).

The idea of the subversive stitch is nothing new, textiles have long been associated with protest. Look at homegrown RadicalCrossStitch and Anna Brownfield's film Making it Handmade recently screened on ABC.  Further proof that craft is alive and kicking!
