Miss Haberdash in knots....

Have you been watching Mastercrafts on ABC?

Each week three novices learn a traditional craft such as woodcraft, thatching and weaving. It's a fascinating process and re examines the history, technique and creativity of each craft and reminds us how skilled these practitioners were.

With this in mind I was excited to discover Jessica Light who makes passementerie - elaborate trimmings, tassels and edgings. She takes this 16th century craft into the present day. With commissions from fashion designers such as Vivienne Westwood alongside the more traditional interior designers, this  is hopefully one craft with a future.
