Miss Haberdash handmade.....

I came across Alabama Chanin by chance. Aside from the obvious appeal -craft meets contemporary cool- their ethos feels just right, reuse and upcycle.
Textile pieces are made by artisans who live and work in and around Florence, Alabama. Traditional quilting, applique and embroidery techniques have a new lease of life using new and preloved fabric. A little hiccup, prices are sky high. But we all know how labour intensive handmade really is and after all this is American couture.
A piece of textile heaven.

  1. Dear Miss Haberdash,

I am so glad you left a comment on my blog today because it has led me to yours (which is lovely and interesting too btw)

I'v had a bit of a nosy and already found so many things I love...that gorgeous vintage kangaroo and joey hanky for starters.

    Kind regards,

  2. Hi Kylie,
