I came across
Alabama Chanin by chance. Aside from the obvious appeal -craft meets contemporary cool- their ethos feels just right, reuse and upcycle.

Textile pieces are made by artisans who live and work in and around Florence, Alabama. Traditional quilting, applique and embroidery techniques have a new lease of life using new and preloved fabric. A little hiccup, prices are sky high. But we all know how labour intensive handmade really is and after all this is American couture.
