I'm in Hebden Bridge a quaint market town in the South Pennines. Situated on the Rochdale canal it was once a hub for the textile industry and is now a tourist destination. It's not snowing but at 8 degrees it's pretty chilly.

Each year the town hosts a
Handmade Festival, I love the sound of that. With plenty of shops catering for crafty types these are my pick;
Ribbon Circus (wool & haberdashery),
Polkadot Lane (Polish ceramics) and the
Hebden Bridge Antiques Centre (vintage & retro).

And now for a little light refreshment. Above Fotheringills Pharmacy is a 1940s tea shop. This is genius, from the union jack bunting to the ration cards as menu covers its a great idea. Dame Vera Lynn serenades whilst you tuck in to jelly & blacmange. Super.
